MacOS 9.2.2 Universal installation Drive Setup problem :(

Hi, i have a imac g3 i dont know the model number, its slot loading one. I am trying to install MacOS 9.2.2 universal via a USB drive, i burned the iso with HDD raw copy program. It boots perfectly  loads the system but when the disk initialization screen comes up it completely freezes even the loading ball icon freezes.. Can somebody help me with it?

Hello,
did you start the Drive Setup from the boot USB. I would try to install the system on a hard drive and make it from there.
Drive Setup does not support drives attached to USB bus. Maybe the problem comes from there.

Here's a dumb question: Do you know for a fact that there's actually a working hard drive in there to install onto?
