Ok, so even after having honeypots and other items in place, it seems we were attracting a lot of spammers.

Thanks goes out to Knez for providing a very effective "Clean-Talk" key that will hopefully keep all the glorious porn and prescription drug links to a minimum.

They where probably registered before the spamfilters where in place. It might be a good idea to clean up all users with 0 posts or all the users with email addresses flagged as spam by the filter.

I'm not sure what settings DieHard put it, but the bots can be shut down at registering instead of when tryting to post. Depends on the settings put in.

DieHard: You need to look over the spamfilter settings and update the anti-spam plugin if you haven't already. There's bots incoming from what it looks like.

is this software supprts some form of "first post must be approved by mod", this is imho always the best opinion with the least work.

only mods see the posts, and if it spam, they just do nothing.

Problem is, if we are not diligent, then a new user that may need immediate help doesn't get it, but I will thank about that
