no steinberg tdm? can we just make a spreadsheet with company product all formats cubase vst and compatibles / as rtas tdm nubus pci and an x so we can see what is missing and we can add? i especially think its important we can see and test which work nubus tdm which pci which both and what versions do what

ProTools 5.1.3 plugins do not work with PT 5.3.1 HD

how many hd core/or accel cards if they work/does a flex cable connect. i think there was a limit to it wasnt it?

does it run say a steinberg spectralizer tdm (since its an old plugin)

Digidesign HD Core PCIX Cards 100% works
Digidesign HD Process PCIX Cards *should work / video when UPS shows up

Digidesign / Avid HD Accell PCIX Cards *! Do Not Work !*
Digidesign PDF says so.
Physical test on my rig confirms HD Accel PCIX is a no go.

1x Flex cable per additional card
7x Max HD cards in one rig
*that is insane I/o / track count and / DSP @ 48K 16 or 24 Bit

the plus side is it opens up digi192 for audio interfaces to os9

PT HD 5.3.1 runs on Core and Process 64bit PCIX cards
*PT 5.3.1 may work w/ Mix farm cards but there is zero reason to do that

Good news is PT HD 5.3.1 with Core and Process cards opens up OS9 to a fresh market of hardware still available.

192 & 96 & 96i are the go to for all PT HD up to PT11 2013'
882|20 & 88|24 & 1622 interfaces connect  --> thru --> the 192 and 96 i/o
so this means if you are already into a mix system you can reuse that hardware
be prepared to pay as much for DB25 audio cables as a the 192s go for.

we need to test which plugins work under (OS9) and create a list because that's what it all boils down to

damn youre right i bought a core and an accel. need to sell the accel.

so say in a mdd 1.42

one could put in 1x hd core 2x hd process (1slot reserved for atto scsi 33mhz which pro tools requires). and connect to a digi 192 via digilink and run pro tools 5 with ancient steinberg tdm pci plugins.

(personally uncomfortable with the Modded unsupported OS9 on this big a rig)

acceptable cards for an HD3 combo are
core+core+core
core+core+process
core+process+process

Have not touched SCSI HDD since 2004
MDD on PCIX SATA controller to modern SSD *you will never go back

I did use HD hardware with OS9 and PT 5.3.1. All plugins I had in 5.1.3 with MIX hardware worked as long as you kept bit/khz at the most 24bit/48khz.

now ive seen an image of a hdcard pci

thats a rare one for early g5 who were pci
