« on: January 16, 2022, 03:47:44 AM »
http://cowlark.com/2021-01-05-mac-800k-discs/

looking forward to looking into this more;
i was gifted one of these greaseweazle devices its been sittijng on a shelf doing nothing for the last few years till i
just had some success writing AMIGA Format 800k disks so writing mac disks shouldnt be too hard? (knock on wood)
this ties into my earlier goals with duplicating opcode vision key disks... i havent checked that out yet but hope to be doing so soon

Thank you that looks great! I've been meaning to find a way to do this so I can boot my Macintosh Portable

its not that hard now that i know what im doing.. but took some figuring out.
you have to install python .. i had to rewire some of the connections on my greaseweazle.. apparently there not too expensive
im not sure how much it costs but u can buy the unit itself + use an existing floppy drive that you have total bare neccessities.. i updated the firmware in my greaseweazle easily with a jumper setting. its really actually easy + convenient to download the disk images + write them, takes less than a second to download 880k frm the modern internet, takes just like 3-4min to write out the disk

i created a few program disks + workbench disks for the amiga 500..  pretty exciting geek success ;)
