Two concerns:1. Closeness to Optical Drive.Although SSD does sag down away from OD if not otherwise supported,
there is a certain amount of heat generated by the OD. (How much?)
Will this be a problem over time?
2. No jumper present. Two holes through PCB are there should a jumper need be soldered in place.
No jumper = Master?
Testing tonight or tomorrow. If this works, no more need to purchase mSATA’s
or mounting sleds. And if you want to swap SSDs between other machines
(MDDs, Quicksilvers, etc.) these should make that easier. AND now
possibly less expensive to convert all G4 mini’s to SSDs.
Have two possible sources for these in the U.S. so far. So if it works
they should be readily available and easily acquired.
