... and the Quicksilver, MDD...
All this models has motherboards with integrated amplifiers for this speakers.
It sounds incredible good for his size. But aren't good enough for Pro use.

I don't have them. But for a Audio Pro any speaker is good as a B/C system for checkin how it sound on small speaker if you work with anothers good ones the 90% of your time you are in front of a DAW. And given the space they waste and that the amplifier is already in the G4 since DA to MDD they are fine for the alerts of system, itunes. But only if they are not at a collector price.

I think the speakers make a 2.1 system with the speaker of the power mac, but I am not so sure.
There was also a clear iSub for that system by Bose or another good manifacturer, but I am also not sure about if they can be used at the same time as a only system alltogether
Looking for MacOS 9.2.4

Do the digital audio Macs confer any audio benefits vs. their predecessors, other than the ability to drive these speakers? For example, is the analog audio out better quality? Anything?

Also, do they just drive those little round speakers, or can you add that glass cylindrical subwoofer to them?

I'm not entirely sure, I had those Pro Speakers back in the day and a G4
I do remember the plug on the speakers had this extra ring around it (to fit the proprietary socket/hole/output) hehe typical)
I liked those speakers, the looks and their sound, they were good for playing some music while you were working...

I always thought the output was digital? I thought it also has an optical port?
