MDD Schematics?
« on: March 13, 2021, 02:09:48 PM »
Hi all, so, we love the MDD as our de facto Mac OS machine. The best machine (spec-wise, alongside the 1.33GHz Xserve G4) for the best OS. But to best preserve it, and upgrade it, we could use the help of schematics for it!

Without having to dig around dodgy Russian websites myself yet, does anyone already have that? Has it been found?

If not, it's time dig dig dig! -afro-

Someone had requested the MDD 2003 motherboard schematics, whose code is 820-1476-A, on Vinafix here. No idea if that person's request was granted somehow.

I'm completely new to schematics websites, and to people/companies that reverse-engineer schematics, so I'm looking everywhere I can without being quite sure where to look, without many leads, but anything I find, big or small, I will share here.

I also found this page with lots of various early and new-ish Apple schematics shared by some Brazilian guy, but nothing for the MDD as far as I could tell. (It gets updated from time to time.)

In Louis Rossmann's forum, someone mentioned Vinafix, vlab.su, chinafix as good schematics resources, and implied there are many more, and someone else there suggested doing websearches with terms such as "схемы macbook все модели" etc..

Still looking around, but so far, nothing.

Edit: Might as well share Internet Archive links I found of many 68k Mac schematics:

And Apple IIgs schematics:

And Apple II+:

Apple IIc:

Apple I:

Xbox 360 (just because it's a G5 successor of sorts):

Apple III schematics (and lots of other Apple III goodies):

Not like we see those everyday.

Bumping this for visibility. Right now I live somewhere PPC Mac hardware does not exist, and importing them overseas, costing a fortune aside, leads to confiscation. This is a point in time it is clear having schematics would be cool, provided I have everything else.
