Mac OS9 - Moving Executables Between Machines
« on: January 11, 2021, 07:01:04 PM »
I have a friend who is using some special software on OS9. His hardware is getting harder to maintain, and Iíve sourced an iMac and installed SheepShaver successfully.

Iím trying to move two executables from the old machine to the emulation. Iíve copied them to a DOS formatted (from OS9) USB thumb drive. Iíve mounted the drive on the new machine, and copied to the shared ďUnixĒ folder. Unfortunately, it seems to be missing metadata and wonít run.

Can anyone help with this task?

Thanks!

Paul

You need to use Stuffit Drop Stuff before you copy it to a Dos volume, or the Resource Fork will be lost.
