MAC address found where on a MDD?
« on: October 16, 2020, 09:31:14 AM »
Greetings
I've scoured my MDD running 9.2.2 and cannot locate its MAC address/identifier. What am I missing? It's probably staring me in the face... Pointers, anyone?

it is not in the systemprofiler, not in the "about this mac" and there is no console in classic MacOS.

the only place where you find it is: TCP/IP control panel --> "info" button

Actually, it is in System Profiler.
You have to look under Appletalk, which seems a bit daft as it's not an Appletalk specific thing.

It's also in the Appletalk CP.

The other place to look, is on your router - a page there called 'network', 'devices' or something will usually have all the addresses of your LAN.

that´s weird. normally you would except it in the profiler under hardware.

in mean in the post-appletalk area you can have PCI, usb, wifi whatever adresses in addition. :)

thanks, gentlemen (I assume)
Now I have to figure out why I can't boot into OS9 after which I'll investigate where MAC address is stored.
Machine is crashing and/or locking up. A MAC address isn't a priority right now.
