Hello from Scotland.
« on: October 28, 2020, 04:53:36 AM »
Hi,

I’ve been a Mac user for over 20 years now, ever since owning, working with, repairing and programming for Windows drove me to the point where I just couldn’t bare to look at it anymore for my personal use.

So I switched to Mac, and began to wonder why I didn’t make the change long before I did.

But that’s ancient history, well, it was until recently when I decided, for god knows what reason, that I missed OS 9 - you know, other than SimCity :D

My oldest fully functioning Mac being my iMac G4 (USB 2.0), my mission to get OS 9 running natively began. Much frustration later, my searches led me here, and wow, you guys have done some amazing work.

I can get OS 9 installed and running almost perfectly, the only hurdle I’m facing at the moment is finding out if/how it’s possible to be able to change resolutions and colour depth.
If I can finally get over that bump in the road, I’ll be such a happy wee chappie.

So, a big thanks to everyone who’s put in the work on here. Everything from making custom install/restore images, to offering help and advice in posts (which I still have thousands to catch up on).

Hello and welcome Stwert! Don't have an answer for you as I run a MacMini.

Good luck from Somerset to Scotland!
