Best Apple Display for OS9 Mac Mini?

hi everyone once again , i purchased a 1.42 GHz G4 Mini with an OS9 install, and was looking on some info for whats the highest supported cinema display for the mini. the previous owner (which might be on here , hello ! if you are  ) told me he had his/her running on a 23 inch cinema hd display which it looks perfectly so , but ive also heard that its unsupported , im just confused on it and dont want to buy one on ebay with out the know how , hope everyone is staying safe!

i would also think first gen alu 23", but i have never used it.
