Don't know if you guys saw this one before, but apparently the Mac Garden now offers
free web hosting for Mac related projects.
Tried it and it works fairly well. (check out
my site on my Macs
). You can do it all on OS9 - or even older machines for that matter. All you need is BBedit (if you know HTML - otherwise something like Adobe Pagemill 3.0) and an FTP program like Transmit to set up your own website Geocities 90s style ;-)
Doesn't have to be a website though. From what I saw some folks also use it as sort of a file server.
Haven't seen this one mentioned around here so I thought I'd point it out for those of you interested. Might be a great playground to try out some ideas before signing up with one of the bigger hosts.
Hmm... anyone feeling like creating a Classilla-compatible archive of great wallpapers and textures for our machines? ;-)
