Anyone remember DVD ram disks with 8.6?
« on: October 08, 2019, 12:14:42 AM »

I don't even remember anyone who had a DVD burner back then.
Check this out.

Mention of 8.6 is around 1:50 into the video.

before 8.6 reading -RAM should work with third party drivers such as joliet access and UDF access (which enables full UDF 1.5 format access which not even OS9 has)

for my part, i write HFS+ only - and i dont need to read discs other than my own, but apple strongly recommends to use UDF.

unfortunately formatting DVD RAM with UDF stops working in OSX 10.5+.
