Bondi Blue iMac flickering black on screen

Hello,

My 1998 iMac has been working great all these years. I can't connect to the internet with OS9.2, but have used this great machine as my word processor and scheduler for years.

Recently a flickering black screen, creeping from right to left, has started, and I wonder if there's a fix for this. I am not very tech savvy.
