Mac Mini G4 won’t boot to CD ( am running Mac OS 9.2.2 for Mac Mini G4 from here

I wiped my drive and formatted it from the os 9 boot cd and installed Mac OS 9 on the first partition. Everything works great so far with Mac OS 9. However no matter what key combination I use at boot neither the boot menu or boot from CD work. Even if I put the 10.4 DVD that came with the Mac mini in and hold C or choose it from the startup disk control panel, it just won’t do it. I am open to any and all suggestions. I am contemplating booting from the OS 9 CD and wiping it and starting with OS X I stalled first but I can’t seem to do that either.

Now what could possibly be the root of the issue, I am using a Logitech wireless keyboard with a usb dongle. I am hoping that could be the issue and that key presses aren’t registered at boot from it.

It’s the keyboard being strange. Got it booted and installing OSX 10.4 on the second partition now.
