adaptec ash-1233
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Adaptec-Dual-Channel-Ultra-IDE-PATA-ATA-133-PCI-Controller-Card-ASH-1233-NEW/263984889805
theres a bunch of these for sale on ebay for under 20$
these could be valuable if we could track down the firmware for the mac compatible version
SSD connected to ATA133 works great

The 0680 is almost the same as 3112. I even have the SIM + FCode + "X" for it, looks like even the flasher.
I am curious about the SIM because who on the planet Earth (who is not an insane Mac-cult follower) would write a SIM in 2019?

Besides, a proper ATA<-->SCSI translation under MacOS 9.x is MPITA to say the least.
Maybe I should buy that controller and see what is going on. Who knows, maybe there is an army of Mac-fanatic guerrilla somewhere along the Chinese-Korean border?

Is there any news on that one to get it to work on Mac OS ?

I have a Power Mac G3 B&W here that is VERY picky to get it stable and i read somewhere it could be the IDE
controller on the logic board that is acting up.

I have a PCI card with that SIL0680 laying around.

Otherwise i should look for that Promise/Firmtek card you mentioned in the other post?
Did you ever uploaded the tools for flashing it?
*G4 MDD 1.25GHz (Single 2003)* with 2x 80Gb harddrives, 1Gb RAM, Tascam US-428 and Edirol FA-101 USB/Firewire soundcards-*iMac G3 DV 400MHz* with installs from OS 8.6-OSX Tiger on different harddrives-*Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz* with new SSD ! Love it.

The SImage 680 will be done sooner than the Promise.
It is eventually the same thing as 3114 or 3112, with minor variations.

The "9" and FCODE needs to be verified, don't think there is much to do with it. Was done eons ago and it used to work.
No copy protection.

The "X" was recently updated for the entire family. For "X" it will be only one driver for 680 - 3112 - 3114.
For "9" and FCODE there will be minor difference.

No copy protection of any kind.

The problem with Promise is a certain header, once the 680-3112-3114 is out, will provide more details about Promise and what is wrong with it.
I think, after the 680-3112-3114 will be the 3124 update, than Frodo.

ROFL - that turned out to be a classic case when the medicine is worse than the illness.  ;D
Lesson learned.

This weekend is dedicated to SAS though.
