Sonnet Tempo Trio (Promise Chipset?)

not sure what chipset this uses; anyone here have one of these?

says that it uses the same firmware as the other tempo/ultra100 and tempo/ultra133 then i guess this also uses the Promise PDC2026X chipset

but im pretty sure this card wouldnt work in OS9 anyways because all those components are behind a PLX bridge chip.

refinery it is made to work ijn mac os 9 check the data sheet
its more about the time period it was produced.. if it was made in early 2000s then it was made to be compatible with os9

The problem with bridge chip is solved for 5500/6500/TAM:

Beige g3s have a similar problem that they can't see devices behind a bridge chip. You'll get maybe USB to work but say for example a USB/Firewire combo, FireWire won't. It's very similar to the 6500 issue so I wonder if the technique could be adapted

Are there threads that describe the problem in more detail?
Which Beige G3?
Which Open Firmware version?
Which PCI card?

I think I tested Open Firmware 2.0f1 and 2.4 in dingusppc without issue. Output from [icode]dump-device-tree[/icode] in Open Firmware on a real Beige G3 showing the problem may be useful. At least it could be used to verify that the emulated hardware is similar enough.
