Missing all my monitor screen resolutions

Hi

I am rebooting my old G4 iMac operating 9.2. I don't have any of the original discs. This was just used for playing kids games from CD and I am passing it on to someone else as the kids have outgrown it. I had a problem with a faulty extension stopping startup so I removed most of them and put them back in a few at a time (took ages) to track down the faulty one. Got that sorted, looks to be something to do with the internet but I don't connect this iMac anyway. Only problem is I now seem to have lost all but one of the screen resolution options. This is an issue as the CD's will play but I presume its why the colour and graphics of the games are way off. Any suggestions? I haven't had to fix anything in OS9 for many years and I'm struggling to remember what to do.

Don’t know if we have the original, specific G4 iMac OS disks here for download…
but downloading & re-installing from the original disks might be your best bet.

Try MacGarden or MacintoshRepository.
You already know the “faulty one” extension to disable.

I've had the very same effect (only 1 entry in resolutions of monitor control panel) a couple of times recently.
It could be solved by clicking the 'identify monitor' button, which brought back the full list.
No clue about what triggered the single entry, it happened out of the blue.
