Edirol UA 20 Driver?
« on: January 16, 2019, 09:55:16 AM »
Anyone who happens to have a driver for this "soundcard"/midi interface lying around?

I found my hardware but unfortunately displaced the installation disk (that claims it comes with MacOS 8.5/9 drivers, unfortunately on Rolands' site there is only drivers back to Mac OS X 10.6)

Talk about a needle in a haystack…

If push come to shove, here is the OS9 stuff for the UA-25. I cannot say it will definitely work for a UA-20 BUT there's not much difference between them other than the 25 can operate at 96k. You'll need to follow the instructions in the UA-20 manual exactly because there's a mandatory order of installation:

1. OMS or Freemidi
2. The UA driver
3. The ASIO driver

The OM has over 40 pages dedicated only to installing the correct "drivers" in various systems. This is what you get when using stuff that was made for Windoze and later adapted to Mac…Thank you so much, Roland.
I also have a OSX PPC USB UA-25 installer if you need it

If you don't have the manual, it's here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/315023/Edirol-Ua-20.html

Good luck.

Well, this is to renew the request for the UA-20 OS9 drivers and stuff. I just got one of those, and I'd like to use it on my Pismo/OS9.2 music computer.
I tried with the UA-25 stuff posted here, but I have not gotten anywhere. I could spend days tweaking OMS/FreekMidi/extension manager, but I'd like to start with something that's "supposed" to work...
