Mackie HUI control with Cubase. Anyone using?
« on: January 10, 2019, 06:03:29 AM »
Hi all,
A friend says he has an old Mackie HUI (I think the original version) and I could probably buy it from him for pretty cheap.

Does anyone know how well these integrate with Cubase 5.2? Anyone using one with Cubase?

Im using a JL Cooper CS10 now and it looks like quite a step up...

Nothing like RetroGAS...  ;)

well cubase supports HUI mode for all kinds of other control surfaces, so i would imagine it plays nice just fine.
I still use an HUI myself... there's really not much that beats it out on the market even now.

Be warned though, a lot of units have issues with the monitoring section. I cant use the monitoring functions on mine, periodically it freaks out and sends a noise blast out of my monitors.
got my mind on my scsi and my scsi on my mind
