Not exactly a replacement, but still
« on: November 25, 2018, 03:22:13 AM »
Well, sitting on my desk, connected to a 20"  DVI Aluminum Apply Display, is a G4 iMac 1.42 Ghz with 1 GB RAM and an 80GB drive. I got it for US $40 including shipping with an Apple ADC-DVI adapter.

Since MDDs are as scarce as Socialist Liberals are in Mississippi (lol--no offense intended if you are a socialist liberal in Mississippi) in this part of Washington State, this will have to do until I can get one. Plus it sidelines my 23" ADC Apple Display (AKA: "big beautiful monitor") since the Mini does not seem to be able to power that large of a display.

Now to do some reading on how the heck OS9 was put on this machine by others, 11 pages worth of reading. Sigh.
15 Macs (13 of them ranging from an SE to a MDD), 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 Hackintosh. Small house getting smaller with each Mac. . . . .  .Husband shakes his head but supports my habit.
