Calibration Targets
« on: July 27, 2018, 01:29:06 PM »
Early stages of “attempted” flat panel, monitor color calibrations here (I miss my CRTs). And thought I might offer up some images based upon the MacBeth Color Checker chart and some pro photo lab (and the “Big Yellow God” - Kodak) “targets”. Of course, it helps to actually have a Macbeth chart to compare and adjust to… and then we start getting into color-correct, reflective lighting and densitometers.) Oh joy!

Funny, have yet to locate the traditional Photoshop “Bananas & Mangoes” Carmen Miranda - Jimmy Buffet Photoshop file, also used for this purpose… but eventually, I shall. If any one would like larger files of the low-rez attached images for such possible calibration purposes… LMK.

Full sized, one is 150 dpi and the other is 300 dpi. 172KB and 14.3MB file sizes, respectively. Guess I could zip ‘em (FdB vaguely remembers, through much mental dust and cobwebs). Images from 1996.

This is what you're looking for. I can get a hi-rez of it probably by tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch Gary... just did a fresh Pshop install on a Mini and it's there... "Ole No Moire" in the "Goodies" folder.
I don't know if it's available in Photoshop versions 4 or 6 (available here in the download section) but if not...
it might be good to post a copy of it there? And thank you, again.

1. create an image with small bricks of all possible 8-bit colors

2. be amazed that it is close to impossible to see borders between all bricks, no matter how you set your monitor.
