Just reread all your post. A lot of contributions on your 51 posts.  ???

You can logout if you want just to lurk around.

Or make another account with other email to bump your own posts.  ;D

Please stay around. The more we are, means more fun. ;)

Is this some weird kind of a cry for help or something?

Naiw is capable of figuring out how to terminate his account in one minute or less and quite probably has.

No, I didn’t intend to delete my account (at least not just yet).

It was rather a genuine question as I noticed the SMF option to remove it was absent,
It’s of course obvious that one can write an admin; or just log off and never care if one intend to leave the site.

I was however hoping more for an answer along the lines ”actually we don’t allow users to delete their account because xyz”

I’ve been busy the past few days however so haven’t had time to write on the forum for a few days.

If I had to guess, I would say that acount deletion is forbidden so that knowledge doesn't disappear when users leave. I don't run the site, so I don't know for sure.

exactly right - just because one person asks a question.. another person answers..
we are all working together here, a collective effort
making the best use of these old computers + software.

Never had anyone ask before... I am sure I can find an option to turn that on...

But remember you are safe here... I never respond to the constant interpol requests for user information about all forum members :)

I feel like I'm ratting out some deep secret but…

Isn't there a Delete under Profile/Actions ?? I see it there, though I'm not inclined to try it…

I don't have that. Profile -> Modify Profile -> (assorted options, but no Delete)

Perhaps it comes with the deluxe subscription level, along with the complimentary rocket.

No I didn't have it either, And no SMF doesn't delete posts when an account is deleted.

Either way, I believe this topic has been exhausted.

Wait jest a gall darn minuet. I believe that aspersions have been caste in my general direction.
Sure, ’tis easy to kick an old man before he’s had his meds & coffee, but who among us is not
a “deviate” here, if not merely by continued membership alone? Are ye not all deviates... not
moving on to the latest marketed tech-no-logical offerings of the Kupertino Kartel?

Besides, those old records were expunged. 8) And yet I remain a proud Rasterbator.

Now, this topic is exhausted. As am I.
Lookin' at you, Bad Bob. ;)

account + post deletions are not permited; all information shared + exchanged on the forum stays put (for the benefit of all macos9 users)
