hey there guys
so i have this little leopard hackintosh box i threw together from a bunch of spare parts
consists of:
iAtkos v7 (10.5.7 OSX Leopard)
ASUS P5PE-VM motherboard
2GB DDR400 ram (max)
MSI Nvidia 6600GT Graphics (AGP 8x)
Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor (X6800)
everything is working great tbh
(3800 Geekbench 2 Score)
but im having trouble changing my resolution
at the moment any change in the resolution makes the screen
go blank and then i have to reboot
i wanted to experiment with the intel version of 10.5 for a few reasons
my hackintosh skills have been forgotten i kinda havent messed with anything
hackintosh since 2015 or so (because i had real macs to work with)
also ive noticed the insanelymac forum has been down alot lately
and 99% of the links go to that forum
problem is the tool my friend told me to use is 64bit only and i think
my leopard 10.5.7 is a mix of 32/64 bit... im trying to remember
how to force it to be 64 or 32bits - something i remember vaguely + briefly
frm the days shortly before snow leopard dropped on the scene
anyway, the real issue is that most of the 'hackintosh tools' used by any + all
work a certain way post-snow leopard.. but the leopard 10.5 is older
and seems to have some differences
chameleon wizard 4.4.1 wont work on my system its got the anti-cross symbolo
over the apps icon and says it doesnt work on this version of osx when i try to run it
so im guessing its 64bit only
im going to have to read up to figure this out i guess
i think my graphics is being recognizd by "NATIT"
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Natitand thats why the resolution changes are not supported..
i guess i need a real DSDT? or change my SMBIOS? or
change some plist ?
10.5.7 was released May 2009
