bypassing file copy to floppy verify?

im using system 7.6.1 on my performa
im just wondering.. everytime i try to copy files to a floppy disk (1.44mb)
it always takes 50% longer then needed because it "verifies" the data is written to floppy
is there any shortcut key combo or way to tell it to just copy? when im in a hurry? without verifying?
theres a "stop" dialog box but if i press that to stop the verify it undo's the whole file copy and the files dont end up
on the disk
