on the topic of the search;
the topmost search box on the right could use a label to make it clear to NEW users that
that search box only searches the section u are currently viewing.. wheras the "search all topics" box
does exactly that.. i make that mistake quite alot on the site wondering why theres no results when im searching for something i know
exists.. then i realize im using the wrong search..
like simple html text to the left of the search box that could say "Search topics in current board:"
would probably stop alot of people from getting frustrated!
example:
if you are in the "marketplace section" >
http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/board,92.0.htmland you type in topmost right search box to find "lexar firewire" > no results! because it only searches within "marketplace section"
if u are aware its a simple fix to click the "macos9lives" banner to return to the root and THEN use the search box again
and bingo! results. but maybe alot of other people wouldnt catch that
