Yes. It's Windows only. But Halion, Kontakt, Kompakt and others Mac Os 9 samplers can import Gigasampler format instruments up to version 2. Gigasampler 3 format may include some samples in a lossless compressed  format incompatible with Mac Os 9 software.

it seems to be best put to use with a pc as standalone acting just like a midi external sampler.. sending midi to the pc box + routing audio back
as illustrated in the above link!

(for those of us that have a million pcs this isnt much trouble to set up;)
