ADB to USB Conversion
« on: May 03, 2017, 11:07:31 PM »
After recent travails with a G4 MDD, I've temporarily punted back to an old G3. Ahh, the warm fuzzy feel (and clacking), of the old Apple Extended Keyboard!

So, anyone have one or know a source for an ADB to USB converter (other than that Griffin thang)? I've seen the Hasu and Soarer routes and may go with Hasu. Wondering if something else might be available that would get that ADB keyboard functioning via a USB connection on the G4.

I have an ADB to USB adapter. Not sure of the model though.
I'll check on it for you.

I came across this a while back and thought it might be a good alternative to the Griffin iMate adaptor. I've not bought one myself as I no longer have an ADB keyboard (still looking for an Apple Extended II at the right price) so as always your mileage may vary:

Thanks for the info. Have already checked that source and may eventually go that route. Concerning your Extended II keyboard quest, PM me with your location/address and I'll see if I can help you with that.
