Audio interface suggestions for Pismo 400MHz (M7630LL/A)
« on: April 22, 2017, 03:22:48 PM »
Hey All,

Took the plunge and got a Pismo, looking for the best audio interface for it. I checked out the awesome threads about all the available interfaces for OS 9, just wanted to see if anyone had personal experiences.

Thanks!

It depends onyour budgetand your DAW likes!

If you want protools, it could be an M-Box or a Digi 002 (Not rack). For Cubase/Logic/SVP, RME and MOTU are awesome. Pismo has USB 1.1 and Firewire. Lots of options.

On the cheap, an M-Audio interface could be great.
Looking for MacOS 9.2.4

If you want even more options you could get a Magma PCI expansion chassis with a CardBus interface.  That opens up use of just about any PCI card too.  I have a 2-slot for my Pismo and Titanium PowerBooks, as well as the expansion bay variant with a 4-slot Magma for my Wallstreet PowerBook.
