3GP Video in OS 9?

Just wondering, is anyone aware of a codec or media player that can be used to play 3GP video files in Mac OS 9? I'm trying to find the easiest way of watching YouTube videos on OS 9 and my current process of downloading the 3GP file then uploading it to online-convert.com, then downloading an MPEG-1 file is a very slow and painful process.

The short answer: You can't.
The slightly longer: The 3GP videos used by YouTube are encoded with the H.264 codec, and no such codec exists for Mac OS 9.

There are other ways to solve the YouTube issue and some people are working on solving it.

Damn, I didn't think it was H.264. Speaking of YouTube though, are you the one on the Macintosh Garden forums who said they were working getting YT working? If so, how is that going?

Yes, that's me :).
It's going slow. Family and other software developing projects are taking up some time. I will look into the YT issue more during the christmas vecation and I hope I make some progress with it.

All good, hopefully you can get it working again! I didn't get internet working on my PowerMac until well after the old YTB stopped working so I've never experience YT on OS 9  ;D
