has anyone tried SATA to IDE converter?

hey guys
i have just found such a converter
it allows you to connect a SATA drive to IDE interface in powerbook
anyone tried that ?
any performance boost?

yes of course many people have tried similar devices
pata is  slower both in bottleneck speed and usually (because of date produced) slower also in capability (sata drives are more modern therefore more fast) so u will benefit from a faster seek time usually but of course the overall b/w throughput will be limited to the theoretical max of PATA

ah ok
what about storage upper limit?
i mean....will it recognize 1TB HDD ?

are u talking about putting hd in a mac os 9 box? or a sampler?

theres many threads talkinga bout this under the storage area in the board

i quit using vintage samplers now
only use vintage sample cds in kontakt + roland jv boards
