Struggling with M Audio audiphile input in Logic 4.8.1
« on: July 02, 2016, 09:47:10 AM »
Hi all, so this is the setup:

Clean install of OS 9.2.2 from this site, working great on a Powerbook G4 12 inch.

Installed the latest OS 9 drivers for my M Audio Audiophile USB sound card.

Started Logic 4.8.1 and went into audio preferences and selected the ASIO driver for the card.

Now it seems that it recognises the card OK and on the surface everything seems fine.  So I have an audio track, just one, configured as stereo, with channels 1 & 2 as input, with ASIO selected and the correct driver selected.  When I hit record, no waveform is displayed, it's like it just can't connect to the thing.  I have verified audio going into the unit, so I know my inputs are all OK.

Any ideas?  Thanks all!!!

Hmnnn, seems I had a bad device, I tried wiggling cables and the USB is barely making contact... I might try it on a 10.5.8 machine just to see...
