PT LE 5.3.2 and Digi 002
« on: April 27, 2016, 09:12:56 AM »
Evnin' (o;

Does this version here run out of the box when a Digi 002 is connected or does it need special activation/serial?

What are the current street prices of Digi 002 hardware?

depends :D have a look at ebay. it can go up or some so called friends trying to push the price up to get a higher price. if the 002 comes with manual it has a serial inside. i think this particular version of pt for os9 is useless for anything else

So you're saying this PT LE 5.3.2 Version here would just work with a Digi 002 without serial?

no serial to activate pt is needed but i have not found any other pt version for os9 working with this mixer. osx no brainer but not os9.

I believe this version ONLY works with the 002 'MIXER' version and NOT the 002R 'RACK' version.

Hey devils_advisor... Did you ever have any luck with the OS9 plugin situation on your 002 rig?? Do most of the 'usual' OS9 plugs work or are there very limited pickings??

seems like everything thats not for a tdm or mix rig can be used. 002 came with a few starter plugins. that mixer is actually pretty good and i hardly need a mouse at a certain state but im not a pro with audio so thats just my biased opinion.

Well that's good news. In the original thread there was a lot of confusion on which plugs worked with the Os9/002 rig so thanks for clearing that up! ;D

Hmm....still not sure if I should go for the Digi 002....looks really nice though....

But there's currently also a Tascam FW 1884 on Ebay....seems it is better supported by other software....

So which one would you go for?

Well I'm currently more used to Cubase VST....and just use PT LE a few times...

I always thought PT LE is more for recordings and Cubase with its vast VST instruments is more for synthetical music productions...

Guess I would need both (o;

Hmm..the seller claims that the PT LE 5.3.2 won't support the Digi 002 fader and transport function....

Not sure if this is true or not..maybe someone can put some light on it?

Does the Digi 002 Console also work with other software by means of ASIO drivers? Heaven't seen though any...only for Windows...

it works with asio but you lose the motorized faders and other stuff. its like running in stand alone mode
