Can anyone open some old, and corrupted, Logic files for me?
« on: April 04, 2016, 08:35:34 AM »
Dear all,

this is a longshot, but I'm wondering whether anyone can help me.

I have some old PC Logic files from 1996, so probably they were created in Logic Audio 2.5.

Some are fine and I can open them in Logic 5.5, but some appear to be corrupted by the ravages of time and do not open properly.

Logic 5.5 detects the corruption and attempts to recover the fragments that are still ok, then tries to convert to logic 3.5 and then to 5. The conversion to 3.5 works but the conversion to 5 does not.

So I'm wondering if anyone has Logic Audio 2.5 or perhaps 3.5 and could try to open these files for me? To be honest I don't even know if the mac and pc file formats are compatible, so I could be wasting your time! Plus they might not open anyway...

If you can, the best option for me would be if you can export them as midi files

Many thanks and best wishes

Rich
