Preserving TDM disk authorizations
« on: March 28, 2016, 01:07:19 AM »
I should know this by now but I haven't tried it. I use the ASR utility to back up my system drive and along the way I discovered that some plugin/software authorizations are preserved by ASR, while others are not. Does anyone know if Pro Tools TDM diskette authorizations are actually preserved when using this method?

There was another post here a while ago where a link was posted that said some people used an imaging utility for this. They'd install their software, authorize it with the diskettes, image the drive, then deauthorize the plugin so the authorization is on the diskette, then restore the image which actually gets you an additional authorization in a way. Maybe someone can post a link to that, I can't find it.

dissappointing to see not even any of the other protools users will answer syntho on this important issue.
