A really stupid idea that I want to share.

--Begin Stupid Idea Rant--
So I understand there are some embedded PowerPC CPU's that just happen to be of the System On Chip variety and the cores of these are based on the G4 cores used in some mac's.

Wouldn't be fun to build a cell phone with one of these CPU's and get mac os 9 running on it so we could have an OS 9 cell phone?

In all serious though, that will never ever happen. But I think it would be cool.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, or break it so you can fix it!

It would be easy to support a G5 than one of those G4 SoC. And interact with a cell phone modem ( baseband ) is absolutely black magic ... :o

the 9Phone 2.0

now only 12 kilograms of weight and in emergency cases you can call "110" for free.

Just so you know, I decided this is a good idea.
Hardware design complete and now construction and software for controlling the cellular chip.
Photos soon!

Anyone have a Newton that is broken I can steal the case from?

Possible.  I thought an official newton case would be cool to use.
