Fan Upgrades

So doing fan mods on our beloved G4's how do you guys deal with the 'extra' wires that come on the 'fancy' new fans that are out there?? I just put a replacement case fan (the big one) in my QS and I guess I have it wired to be going full blast at all times... certainly didn't reduce much if any fan noise with that... do you guys wire them to lower voltage to spin at lower rpm, get fans that spin slower at max voltage or something like that?? Don't know much about this sort of thing.

i just got a low noise fan.. didnt change any voltages

I was glad to buy a used G4 1.25 with the Verax Fan Kit (M10+M11) inside. And it is a huge difference noisewise!!! A big big difference!!! Everyone who has the chance to buy such a machine with the verax kit should do it.
