The xtra content consists of sample content, EXS instruments ad lots of other stuff.

In the EXS24, you should be able to select from a huge library of stuff, including all the Extreme Analog and Extreme Digital sample libraries.

You also get a ton of content in the channel strips, which are easily missed, so take a look at those.

As for the Garageband stuff, I'm not sure offhand whether it includes extra stuff, or whether it's just the core Garageband library (I deleted Garageband and all the content as I don't use it).
Looking for MacOS 9.2.4

I only have the samples, not the instruments files. So it take some work to make it work ...

Anyway, this is the same concept, I had done with Kompakt:

... well may be.  ;D ;D ;D

Any way this is one the best synth sampler library I know. I'm converting it to Kompak format ( of course LOL), It takes me some time as I have to "manually" find the sampled files, ( to be relinked ) and as some instruments are up to 3 levels of layering, I'm manually assigning each layer to it's own group to allow even better possibilities than the original EXS format.

MacTron, I am waiting for the final EXS24 vs Kompakt vs Kontakt post using this sounds to do a real benchmark. I bet for EXS on Logic 6... I will test them all to see who supports more polyphony

May be the EXS24 mkII included in Logic 6 can win the polyphony test. But it have some serious drawbacks:
- It only works in Logic 6.x or 5.5, which are dongle protected.
- It only can be comparable to Halion, Kontakt it's far superior.
I'll post a Kontakt screenshot, it should be be enough to show about what we are talking about:  ;D

(click to see it in its actual size)

This is only *one* of the 16 instruments per instance!

wasn't all the xtreme series combined and made available in Logic Pro 7?
