Notator Logic 1.6 was the first public version. Versions prior to that where internal betas.
And I think I have it on floppy somewhere...

was logic 2.0 the first version to drop the "notator" from the name?

in my notes i have the date marked as:
August 1995....

ok so i rechecked the anthology and it has
v1.1.0 inside
as well as
v1.6.0
+ 1.7.2
+ 1.7.3

so these versions all bear the name "notator logic" ?
(because they are before v2.0)

Creator was made only for the Atari ST line of computers. Creator is a light version of Notator, missing the notation part and some other things.

So...
Notator Logic = Logic as we know it now
Creator = Notator with some stuff missing

v1 notator logic came in this marvellous plastic box and the version number was indicated by a blue tape across the side. the xmas special edition has the sticker also on the side.
v2.0 is indicated on the front of the box.

german/english/atari/mac was indicated with an edding dot indicating it on a sticker on the side.

the "public" comment above i dont know where that info stems from. probably distribution back then was rather limited which makes it even more admirable.

i got a notator sl xl plastic box i havent seen anywhere else complete with everything including reciept and update form which..

hold ...

has atari - mac - DOS! to cross

so, before the first windows 1.9 version of logic hit, they had DOS in develpment v1.0-1.8. never seen this im not sure if this ever was released but

fun fact
