Best OS9 Utilities?
« on: June 25, 2015, 04:57:45 AM »
Opinions?  I'm going to be setting up OS9 (Lives CD / 2014) on my beautiful Ti Book as soon as I get an SSD purchased and installed.  So, suggestions?

ResEdit, HexEdit, and Stuffit are pretty essential. First two mostly for power users.

Did you get that TiBook up and running?

Agreed on Stuffit—you at least need Stuffit Expander.

I've always been a fan of Techtool for general maintenance:

Agreed on the above. I would add Conflict Catcher and ILikeYouMore.

Now I know others will disagree about CC, but it is a far better Extensions Manager than the one in OS 9 in my opinion.

You can grab them off Macintosh Garden.
15 Macs (13 of them ranging from an SE to a MDD), 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 Hackintosh. Small house getting smaller with each Mac. . . . .  .Husband shakes his head but supports my habit.
