I got 12 MIX cards in total. Think 4 or 5 of them are Core cards :D

Really Mix cores are that hard to find? My memory is really foggy about this, but isn't a Core really just a Farm with a slightly different flashed firmware?

:D I saw 3 core cards in the pic, Is why i was saying might want to contact this guy.......As far as flashing the firmware i personally have never heard anyone doing it, although It probably could be done......I know that they can do it to older and/damaged pci based graphic cards

There is no flashing software to begin with, nor was there any firmware updates to extract the firmware from. Pretty much a dead end.

MIX cards are easy to come by here in Sweden. I only bought one on eBay, the rest was through "wanted" ads on Swedish sites. They seemed to rain down so to say ;)

Yup this is the exact reason the HD system got put into the G5, and the Mix system got put into the G4 in my setups. No Accel love for Nine. (But it works really nice in Ten!) :P

I have an extra mix Core that I was planning on using for extra DSP in my G4 OS9 5.1.3 rig. 941005520-00 it has a “refurbished sticker on it.

Problem is Digi test recognizes the card right away but about half way through the test it seems to hang on part of the test which my other mix core card sails through.

The card seems mechanically fine so I am not quite sure what is going on, but I do have a suspicion that it may be looking for its last know hardware configuration. Because I have been able to deliberately freak out my good card by plugging in a different Digi interface, than the one that is usually plugged into it before running the test. perhaps this is just coincidence.

I currently have

Mix Core
Mix Farm
DSP Farm
DSP Farm II

I always seem to just be just a tad short of DSP, So I am ready to get rid of the DSP Farms in favor of  a couple of Mix farms.

Does the card function in a session even though it won't pass Digitest?

the cards need to be in a certain order to work properly... the 2 Core cards would need to be the first 2 cards, then the farm, then the DSP's... Soooo... if you just stuck the 'spare' Core card at the end of the line maybe this is the problem??

I tried the card in the first slot by its self with and with out an interface.
I also tried it in the second slot with a good core card in the first slot with same results.

That said----

Today I scored another G4 with OSX 10.3 a mix core and a mix farm in it all for the outrageous price of $80.00. The drive has tools 6.4 on it. I don't have the dongle for tools but the cards passed digitest. for the heck of it I put the bad card in this machine and digitest would not open, it just gave me a DSI error -1 what ever that means. but I think this card is toast.
