any ideas for me??
i had a usb 2.0 card installed for more ports but i took it out.
no difference
the only card installed in the machine at all is a delta 1010LT m-audio card
all drives are stock IDE

Take the delta 1010LT m-audio card out...

Check battery...

Reset PRAM 3 times

Reset Cuda

Boot.

All normal? Then Install the Delta. If still gray, try other combinations on the PCI cards and PCI slots.

My AP2496 is unstable with my 001 suddenly, I decided to take out to rest some time and let the Digi Alone. Less component is better. Less Hangs...

I would suggest to NEVER PUT TO SLEEP DAWS

Did iMic made an App called Insomnia to avoid sleeping on iBooks?
 
There should be a control panel to avoid put the computer to sleep, and if you want to computer to boot when AC comes back IIRC.

Yes, but since the beginning DAWs are never allowed to Sleep. Even the hard discs.

Let's call G5s Room Heaters.  Takes sense to avoid sleep mode at least when you use it as server or DAW.

Do not use sleep. It is just that simple.

Solving deep sleep issues may be a nightmare. Any "non Apple" piece of hardware can cause it, from a PCI card to a USB device.
Disabling deep sleep is a really bad solution IMHO. It only reveals bad hardware engineering.
It was a shame in the case of most of UADs cards...

on my g5 i have a radeon 9800 pro and now even a radeon 9200 LE pci
and it works 100% fine for sleep....  i wish my g4 would sleep + wake as good
