I found it (years ago) on the famous Russian Mac OS 9 torrent

Could you please upload it somewhere? :)

Excuse me, but I have run out of energy. I did uploaded twice, when I made the first post, and at a later time. Maybe next week I will try to seach again for it. It is somewhere in my 4 drives on my Hackintosh, and that machine is borrowed (without the drives) right now.

For sure it is on the russian torrent that was alive not much time ago.

About next week, I promise...

"HD editing requires a Power Mac G4 and third-party capture card"

What cards working with HD?
Or is there possible use lower "offline"-format and then render HD?

there are cards from pinnacle and sony who did this.

but you can edit anything you wish up to 4000*4000 if you dont need to run it in realtime /  full speed.

Does anyone actually still edit HD in FCP 3 on OS 9? Sounds painful!

To add my 2 cents to the discussion... I too had a Sony Digital8 camera, and can agree that DV's only use was to losslessly import the video off the camera into the project.  Any use of it after that point ended up messing up transitions, text overlays, and all sorts of other stuff.  MP4 didn't exist yet back when I was doing this, so I had to encode to MPEG-2 to ensure some sort of decent quality in the final project.

An hour of DV video only took up 13GB of storage... but my main computer back then had precisely 13GB of storage for my video AND my OS.
