Looks like just the front plastic bezel is missing... what looks different ?

To me the MDD on the left seem different. More "square". An the speaker seem more outside.

I didnt know the 4 holes in the bottom front of MDD were a part. Is it cutted?

You do realize the entire front grey plastic cover is missing (not just the Optical drive bezel)

I have scraped over 100 MDDs and parted them out... and it looks normal to me

Sad... an MDD naked Metal cage



PS: the copper metal Optical drive cover (behind the normal bottom blank plastic mirrored bezel is unique)
