This would be great to use live with my Roland Fc-200 MIDI Controller on stage, no 30 foot MIDI Cable needed... Damn expensive though
An Awesome concept, but a slew of bad reviews...
This device works great if you play GM sounds also if your on stage or with 3 people that wont get infront of the unit while playing. But it doesn't cut out when people stand infront of it and your playing GM. If you need something just to be little free you minus well just get a long 25ft midi cable and call it a day.
I hooked this unit to a roland ax-7 to a Juno stage keyboard and Juno G. This unit will revert to midi GM if signal is drop or if someone gets between you and the unit or if you move out of range. If you were playing (GM) = General MIDI then this unit would work perfect for that purpose. When playing very fast the unit works great when standing next to it which defeats the purpose of being wireless you want to move a round and not stand next to it.
