best 3.5" or 5.25" front panel for g3/g4

lets try to find the best one... low cost + lots of features..

i found this one to fit under the cd drive on a sawtooth or b4..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-nMedia-Black-Panel-3-5-ZE-C118-Card-Reader-w-USB2-0-eSATA-Ports-/160911455615?pt=US_Memory_Card_Readers_Adapters&hash=item257711f57f
im not sure if it uses sata for card reader or usb.. probably usb.. thats a problem.. need a firewire powered cardreader instead of usb2.0
for my sawtooth especially as it has this firewire port internally all ready to go .. i need a Compact Flash/SD reader for this!!!

mdd can have a 5.25" panel.. (similar to geethree sweetport http://web.archive.org/web/20030802182312/http://geethree.com/multiport/multiport.html)

connects via 1 usb header (pc style) 1 sata port
could this work in a g4? would need an adapter + internal usb 2.0 card.. or a usb 2.0 card with a sstandard 9 pin header maybe?
if that exists?

this pdf shows it installed in agp sawtooth + quicksilver not sure how they get the opening on the quicksilver?

You're like me, you want it all to fit where it won't. Just do it! ;)

NoPro, the PCBs are shallow, narrow or narrower and all have connectors on both "component" and "solder" sides. remove the front bezels and stack/nestle an assortment of PCBs to have it all. USB and Firewire "sides" are commonly discrete and eminently cut-in-half-able for more convenient assortment repackaging.

BTW, keep the Zip! Standardize on 250 and (if possible under OS9?) upgrade to an external Blu-ray Burner. That way you've got an entire 5.25" bay available for such a kluge in all of the PortlyMacs(R) mentioned. That's what I'm tentatively planning to do with my Zip750 kit and the optical bay of the MDD'03 OS9 Special Edition that  I'm currently configuring as backup for the QS'02.

Who needs a front bezel behind that front flap anyway? Damn the ESD and full speed ahead!
