CAN IT RUN MAC OS 9?

not at all.
... the first thing that you have to look is the uninorth chip. If is different of the ones used in the Apple Macs "Mac Os 9 natives"... no way.

In the same way you can take a look at Nintendo Wii, Xbox, Sony PS3 etc... all of them uses (more of less) variations of the PPC G3... But none can boot Mac Os 9, LOL

(the new xBox and PS4  uses intel CPU's  from now on)

Xbox one and ps4 use amd chips, not intel. Amd cpus and Radeon graphics.
The motherboards chris wonders about are made for Amiga OS and MorphOS. Maybe some ppc linux distros can boot on those too.

With a debian/ubuntu you could run Mac4linux, that is a virtualization software for Powerpc . Once you run an OSX supported, you could use drag n drop to have OS9 thru classic..

. The worst way to have OS9, only surpased by Sheepshaver.
