The ultimate DAW Os:

- Make a copy of your System Folder and a copy your favorite DAW folder into a different Hard Disk or Partition.
- Mix the content of the two folders.
- Delete de Finder file.
- Change the Type to FNDR and Creator to MACS of your favorite Daw app and rename it "Finder".
- Choose this mixed System Folder as the startup folder in the Startup Disk Control panel.

Restart the Computer ....
and Enjoy!
:) ;D -afro- ;D :)Notes:  It is easy to test this trick with ProTools Free, Cubasis or microLogic because If the DAW app need authorization, it must be authorized in the copy of System folder before mix the both folders.
You have to press ALT key at boot to come back to your ordinary System folder.

The ultimate DAW Os:

lol great :P

but i believe putting the app into startup items and force quitting finder by a script which is also in startup items should do about the same.

is there anything you found already why one would like to have the finder back?

Yes it is. In fact adding a Quit menu to Finder is a lot of easy and better.

The last time I done this trick, I've used  the "Return Of Castle of Wolfenstein" and I haven't needed the Finder back, because I haven't  yet ended the game!
