Ableton Live is a no i think?
Pro Tools? another no?

Pro Tools is a big NO. It will crash if the Multi Processor extension is present.
Logic 6 supports it, don't know about 5.

Was messing around in Logic 4.8.1 on the PowerBook just now and noticed that it supports multiple processors as well. Which probably means that we surely can add Logic 5 to the list as well

so for sure not long after this date it was the newest + biggest deal to add proper cpu support
maybe we can guess.. from august-septermber 2000 going forward this was an aspiration
of any leading programmer to include this...
