When I bought it, I requested the OS 9 version and complained that it was not available. I was told he would "search for it" and in the end, he never provided it.  He said he actually did not have a copy around anymore… So gave up and used the Newer version to generate older Halion libraries via the OS X Chicken translator… he did do several fixes when I sent him files that did not convert correctly for Older OS 9 samplers (even though I used OS X and Chicken Systems to generate them), So I have to say he is a very good programmer and a perfectionist :)

I have used Chicken Systems Translator and Xtreme Sample Converter on Windows and CdXtract on Mac Os 9.
I have no special tips on none them ... it is just a matter of try and error, some may work best on some sample formats and others in on other sampler formats ...
In general those converters works best with sampler instruments that are basic or simple. But it works bad with complex instruments that include groups, conditional samples, ( like round robin, key switches etc) ...
Please don't PM about things that are not private.

Maybe some examples could help us to determine to what format is easier.

Can you tell us original format and destiny? I guess Origin : kontakt    destiny :Halion

Since what version did the correction/fix you mention were made?
Looking for MacOS 9.2.4

BUMP! :o -afro- anyone gotta version of this or awave? had to go out and buy an old dell to transfer floppies on roland and akai samplers. Maybe the dead battery will prevent the shareware demo period from functioning?!?! Also, I'm having trouble finding all the akai sample cds in the other thread. I'm a rookie jus tryna get this shiz sorted thanks!
